Orthodontics, such as braces and clear aligners can give you the straight teeth and proper bite that will help you chew better, smile more often, and maintain your oral health. Southern Nevada Orthodontics offers various types of orthodontic treatments that are all available for everyone, including clear ceramic braces, and “invisible” clear aligners. With all the advancements in technology and dentistry, today children and adults have so many options for orthodontic care! We want to provide as many orthodontic treatment options as we can to help encourage our patients to achieve the optimum healthy smile they need.
Traditional Metal Braces
Today’s metal braces are smaller, more comfortable and attractive, and we have a variety of colored bands to choose from
Clear Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are made of translucent (clear) material that are less noticeable than metal braces and the wires we use are white instead of metal.
Gold Plated Braces
Gold-plated braces are just to add some swag to your braces and work similar to the traditional metal brackets.
Self-ligating braces require fewer adjustments to advance through each stage of the treatment because they use a clip to secure the wire thus eliminating the need for colored o-ties. This saves time and less routine visits to your orthodontist. By eliminating the colored o-ties there is less friction being placed on the teeth which reduces the amount of pressure.
Clear appliances such as Invisalign use a series of removable, comfortable aligner trays to straighten teeth.
There are three basic types of retainers:
Hawley Retainers, made of metal and acrylic (left image)
Essix Retainers, made of clear plastic which look like clear aligners (middle image)
Permanent Retainers, which are bonded to the back of your teeth (right image)
Overbite (Class II) Correction:
We offer exceptional NON-surgical treatment options that can correct your overbite with tremendous results, so you’re feeling and looking your absolute best.
Underbite (Class III) Correction:
The Carriere® Motion™ Class III Appliance is used at the beginning of treatment, before braces or aligners are placed. It shortens the overall orthodontic treatment time, and allows for patients to have less time in braces!
